Wreck Diving
Another type of recreational diving that has been getting into the scene of underwater diving is wreck diving. The activity mainly involves deep exploration of where shipwrecks and the like lie.
Wreck diving is a sport, a hobby or just a form of recreation below the great waters. Shipwrecks are the usual targets of this activity for historical and archaeological purposes. They also confer hardcore challenge opportunities beneath, for divers. That is why a lot of ocean bums are attracted to this type of marine escapade. The basic equipment that would gear up a wreck diver includes thermal protection, mask, fins, regulators, bottom timers, gloves, dive knives, tether line, lift bag, lights, Jon lines and propulsion vehicles.

Wrecked ships, boats, submarines, automobiles and sometimes airplanes are some of the interesting spots that wreck divers are venturing into. This type of activity also provides an outstanding contribution to archaeologist including historians by providing sometimes interesting data and unusual finds that are collected from a wrecked structure, giving them lot information for their research.
However, this type of activity can cause certain risk among the divers that try to experience this type of recreation—hazards that can mostly endanger the divers. And because this type of diving is so dangerous, advance diving skills and special diving equipment are required. It is true that there are very well preserved wrecks still exist underwater, and this interest most divers.
At present, there are even organizations that are teaching divers skills and guidelines about responsible wreck diving. Since wreck diving is risky, it is officially permitted by national authorities. Generally, divers are not allowed entry to spots without license.
