Education
Like most skills, scuba diving would require a certification in order to become a professional dive. Moreover, the scuba certification would enable the person to be internationally recognized. Further, the scuba diving certification never expires and allows one to rent or purchase one's own diving equipment. There are a number of training centres that could be found via the Internet offering scuba diving courses all over the world. There are a number of different scuba training organisations that a dive company can be affiliated with. One of the largest scuba training organisations in the world is PADI or Professional Association of Diving Instructors.

Meanwhile, scuba certification is performance based which means that there is no set amount of hours required for completion. And this would depend on the capability of the individual-some would require less time while other would need more time to learn or to familiarise themselves with the lessons. For the scuba certification, one would move from one level to the next during the course at one's own pace. Further, there are a number of scuba diving courses posted in the Internet and most PADI certification courses advertised are based around an estimated three-day time frame for completion. However, for the average person this may not be enough time, thus four days is considered ample time to complete the certification. For fees, training centres may have different required fees for various lessons although there may be a standard fee appropriated for scuba diving lessons. Lastly, fees would also depend if the equipment are inclusive or not.
